Curriculum

During May and June, the teachers and students are working hard to complete the assigned curriculum for the year. There is still quality time to bring your grades up for the final quarter and qualify for some special recognition on our Awards Day on June 2nd.

Congratulations

Congratulations to our Second Graders who received their First Holy Communion on May 1st, and to our Eighth Graders who will graduate on May 30th.

May Devotions

During May we honor our Blessed Mother Mary in a special way. We will celebrate with a procession and crowning of her statue on May 4th. All students will participate in song and prayer while the 2nd and 8th graders will be in the procession.

Volunteers

St. Thomas More School will honor our many volunteers at our Ascension Thursday Mass on May 13th at 9:00 a.m., followed by Brunch and our Band Concert.

Teacher Appreciation

National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2nd - 7th. Let us remember the fine work our teachers have done during the year. Thank You's from students and parents are always appreciated.

Dominican Jubilee Day

The Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters have served at St. Thomas More Parish/School for the past 50 years, since 1949. Two of our Sisters, Sister Catherine Palmisano and Sister Julia Reardon, are celebrating their Golden Jubilee this year. A Mass will be celebrated in their honor on Saturday, May 8th, at 12:00 noon, followed by lunch and a reception in Donlan Hall. Please join us for our May 8th celebration of Dominican Jubilee Day. All are welcome.

Tuition and Fundraising

Tuition, Fundraising, and Extended Day Payments must be paid in full at this time. Report cards and promotions will not be issued until all bills are paid. Your child/children will not be accepted back for the '99-'00 year until all accounts are current. Remember, it is a matter of justice that every family pay for the education your child is receiving. St. Thomas More is a non-profit Catholic organization. We are not making any extra money. We are just trying to pay our bills and keep the school solvent for the benefit of all.

Summer School

Summer School courses will be offered again this year. The registration forms will be sent home on May 10th.

Hawkinson Ford

Hawkinson Ford is offering $100 to St. Thomas More School for every car sold to one of our families. If you will purchase a vehicle this summer, you might want to consider this. Ken Brown (salesman) is one of our parents.
