Dear Parents,

Our eleven new computers, the Compaq Presario, are installed and running. These computers are connected to the Internet. The first phase of technology at St. Thomas More School is now a reality. We are hoping that, in the next three years, our school will have purchased twenty more computers, a server, two printers, headphones, and much needed software for the different grade levels. But of course, in order to do this, we need money. Three members of our faculty, Sr. Mary Catherine, Mrs. Wright, and Mrs. de Groh, attended a meeting at the Office of Catholic Education on Saturday, September 19^th. This meeting dealt with the "Technology Plan for St. Thomas More" and the roadmap in designing a long-range technology plan that will motivate learning, positively impact curriculum, and increase community participation.

The Technology Plan that will be handed into the Office of Catholic Education will be written and used as a Grant. A grant is an official document of our future technology needs. By stating our future technology, our school will be eligible to receive funding from outside benefactors. This means that every penny for our future computers will not have to come out of our pockets. But this means that we need your help. We must form a Committee to write the Technology Plan. The Technology Committee must include:

Our Technology Committee needs people who are interested and excited about helping our school’s Technology Plan. These people will not be asked to give up a lot of their free time. Any time given for the purpose of more opportunities for your child is time worth spent! If you are interested in joining this Technology Committee or would like to recommend a person for this committee, please let us know. Please consider this opportunity to help not only St. Thomas More School, but to help all students of the St. Thomas More School.
