January 1999 Newsletter

Welcome Back for 1999!

We hope that every family enjoyed a happy and blessed Christmas season. It is always such a special time to experience the great mystery of God becoming human by sending His Son as a little child to this world to redeem us. Beautiful Church services and special family time together have been such an important part of this time. We know your children are very precious to you and we are privileged to share with you in this sacred work of their education. As we return to school in January, teachers and students are rested and enthusiastic about doing their best. Let us move forward together.

Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated January 23-29. We ask you to join with St. Thomas More and the entire Archdiocese of Chicago in appreciation for our schools. Cardinal Francis George and Dr. Elaine Schuster (Superintendent of Schools) have been in the news recently as they have released a report on the Catholic Schools--the accomplishments of the past and the positive plans for the future. Each family will receive a Shareholder's Report during Catholic Schools Week with more details. Please join St. Thomas More for our special celebrations on:

Saturday, January 23rd, 4:30 p.m.: Mass followed by dinner and program
Tuesday, January 26th, 11:30 a.m. Open House and Lunch; 1:00 p.m., Puppet Program

Innisbrook Magazine Subscription Drive

The Innisbrook Magazine Subscription Drive will be held January 6 - 22.
